Mayr-Melnhof will invest € 130 million on new cross-laminated timber production plant at the company's site in Leoben, Austria. Construction is scheduled to start in the second half of 2020.
Production is scheduled to start at the end of 2021. In plan, there are also a planing mill, a high-performance secondary sorting warehouse and a fully automated high-bay warehouse.
In a further step, which has not yet been approved by the supervisory board, the sawmill is to be comprehensively modernized, said managing director Richard Stralz to the Austrian daily "Die Presse".
