The German producer price indices for beech showed mostly downward tendencies in May 2024. On average, the index for log wood decreased by -1,1% to 120,6 points. B qualities reached the level of 121,3 points ( -2,6% ), to which 3 m lengths contributed with -1,7% to 104,8 points – and 5 m lengths with -3,0% to 124,9 .

C qualities in Mai reached 116,7 points (-1,41%) – in 3 m lengths 116,7 ( 0,3% ). 5 m lengths reached 107,7 points ( -1,6% ).

For oak pulpwood Destatis calculated an index of 86 points (-4,94%). Pulpwood of beech reached 138,6 points (1,72%). The hardwood pulpwood index arrived at 130,6 points ( -1,6% ).
